HAN SOLO DL-44 BLASTER
(ONE-DAY BUILD)
After being inspired by Adam Savage's One Day Build series, we decided to try our hand at making our very own Star Wars DL-44 Blaster -- in just one day.

The challenge was using only components we had lying around the shop. Luckily I had just picked up a flare gun from a local hardware shop!

If you liked this build, don't forget to check out our real-life lightsaber!

The original prop used in Star Wars was a modified Mauser C92, a German semi-automatic pistol -- sometimes referred to as a "broom-stick" pistol.
These are rather rare (and expensive) antiques, and while others have made their own DL-44 replicas using them with glowing "tracer" rounds, we opted to make something a little safer, and in our opinion a bit more blaster like -- as a flare shot looks a lot more like a blaster bolt than a bullet does!
